Anne
Anne has noticed a decline in her memory over recent years but does not have a dementia diagnosis. She is widowed and has two sons and one daughter. Anne lives alone in her own home which looks out onto a large green space in a city.
Christine
Christine, aged 83, has a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy. The medication she takes for her condition has caused problems with her memory. She is retired and used to work for the Income Tax Office. Christine is widowed and has two children and three grandchildren.
Clare and Edward
Clare (68) and Edward are married with two grown-up children. Edward is a retired scientist and Clare is a retired languages teacher.
Michael
Michael, aged 73, is retired, having had a varied career. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and he also has a Master’s degree in English Literature. His great interests are in religion and the arts.
Sadie
Sadie, aged 68, worked as an administrator and coordinator for carers’ groups. Sadie lives with her husband and he is always a good support to her.
Soraya
Soraya is aged 57 and is a carer. She enjoys spending time with her family but also values occasional time alone. She especially enjoys walking and time to clear her busy mind.
