Alzheimers Society is the leading UK care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. They have excellent helpline and factsheets on a wide range of information, an online community called Talking Point and a free monthly email newsletter.

Alzheimer Scotland

Is Scotland’s leading dementia charity. They provide services and campaign actively to help people with dementia and their families and carers. The site has information about dementia, treatment choices, services and a helpline.

Autumna

They provide services to find later life care options with access to 26,000 care homes, retirement living developments, home care and live-in care providers. They also have a free advice line.

Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities

The latest news and events on learning disability issues, as well as information on topics such as advocacy, accommodation and employment. In addition there is information on the GOLD programme (Growing old with learning disabilities) & Down’s Syndrome and Dementia.

Huntington’s Disease Association

The association provides information, advice, support and publications for families affected by Huntington’s disease in England and Wales.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association
pspassociation.org.uk
Provides information and support to sufferers of this progressive neuro-degenerative disease, their carers and their families.

Rare Dementia Support
raredementiasupport.org
RDS supports people affected by 7 of the rare dementias including carers and bereaved carers. These are: Familial Alzheimer’s disease (FAD), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), familial frontotemporal dementia (fFTD), posterior cortical atrophy (PCA), primary progressive aphasia (PPA), Lewy body dementia (LBD) and Young-onset Alzheimer’s disease (YOAD).

Switchboard

Dementia Support through Switchboard is for LGBTQ people living with or affected by dementia or concerned about memory problems. They hold meet-ups online and in-person, and provide one-to-one support in-person, by phone or online.
