In this section you can find out about the experience of caring for someone with dementia by seeing and hearing people share their personal stories on film. Researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 31 people in their own homes. Find out what people said about issues such as early signs, strategies, respite and money. Life on the Autism Spectrum

In this section you can find out about the experience of life on the autism spectrum, by listening to people share their personal stories on film Researchers initially travelled all around the UK to talk to 22 people (and 6 partners) in their own homes. Analysis of 17 new interviews were added in 2010 and extra interviews were added in 2016 to help keep the site up to date. Find out what people said about issues such as communication, obsessions, intimate relationships and difficulties with employment.

Multiple Sclerosis: friends & family experiences

In this section you can find out about the experiences of friends and family members whose loved one has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) by seeing and hearing people share their personal stories on film. Researchers travelled all around the UK to talk to 40 people in their own homes. Find out what they said about their lives, relationships and feelings, as well as practical issues such as work, money, looking after home and family and home adaptations.

Women’s experiences of Domestic Violence and Abuse

We have produced this section on Women’s Experiences of Domestic Violence and Abuse as a resource for women who are in an abusive relationship or have been in the past. It will also be a resource for friends, family members and professionals who think someone may be in an abusive relationship and want to find out about how best to help. During 2015, our team of two researchers travelled around the UK, interviewing 39 women who had experienced domestic violence or abuse.
